Destination

For more than 2.500 years, Budva has developed and has been ruined because of wars and earthquakes, but today Budva is the most attractive touristic destination on Montenegrian coast, and perhaps in the Mediterranean and it is correctly labeled as a center of tourism.

Legend says that Cadmus, the son of the Phoenician King Agenor and Queen Telephassa, left home looking for his sister Europe abducted by Zeus. In this pursuit he was in many Greek cities, and by order of the Delphic oracle he settled in Boeotia and founded famous Thebes with which he has long reigned. The gods gave him Harmonia as wife, the daughter of the god Ares and Aphrodite. 

In old age, spouses are exiled from Thebes and took the ox-drawn cart to make the trip to country Encheleans, where they founded a new city - Budva (BOUTHOE).
